Personal Performance has developed, managed and delivered a wide range of successful courses for gifted and talented young people.

Short and Long Courses

These have been developed for Year 4 - 6 participants both as long courses and as short 6 Saturday morning courses. These are aimed as opening up young peoples' imagination and offering them chance to explore subjects they feel passionate about in more open-ended ways. We take into consideration the requirements of SATs; while the courses do not specifically 'tutor' for these examinations, the resulting student enrichment has an impact.

Courses have been organised in Maths, English (Creative Writing and Criticism), Photography. We are currently developing courses in Music (Composition) and Drama.

These courses are extremely popular with participants and attendance is consistently around 98%.

Joy (an English adviser visiting the centre): 'The children were encouraged to closely observe a wood etching and were encouraged step by step to use high order vocabulary to describe what they saw... I was very impressed by the way the children responded, especially some of the tougher looking boys who were not afraid to use the gentlest and most beautiful words.'
