Senior Pupils: Years 10 - 13

Pp partner Rod Dungate was commissioned by the Art Gallery to write a poem using Grayson Perry's pot Who Am I? as the starting point. Rod's poem - Person Pot - Who Am I? - was displayed in the gallery on a banner. We ran three workshops specifically exploring how to move from one art form to another - in this case fine art to poetry.

Each workshop was about two and a half hours long and moved between whole group work and concentrated individual writing time.

Using his own poem as an example of the creative process Rod outlined the stages writers need to explore in making this creative transformation. At each stage students explored the process for themselves. We also collected ten questions from students about Person Pot - Who Am I? after their initial introduction to it: students found many of these had been magically answered by the end of the session!
